Description: Lane County Legal Aid provides legal assistance to low income people. They will provide advice on many different issues, but they will not represent clients on family issues. Please call for more information on the issues that they can help you with. They also offer a Domestic Violence Clinic to help with things such as stalking orders, restraining orders, etc. Walk-in meetings are available M-F, 1:00pm-3:00pm, and are conducted by Lane County Law and Advocacy Center. Any legal action is then taken up by Legal Aid.

Description: Community Mediation Services empowers people to resolve conflicts effectively. Programs include: Community Dispute Resolution, Restorative Justice and Family Mediation Services. Mediation services are offered for disputes involving issues such as: landlords/tenants, property disputes, noise, pets, workplace conflicts, consumers/ merchants, and families (parent-adolescent, elder care, siblings, couples, dissolution, parenting plans). Our Restorative Justice Program brings together juvenile offenders, their victims, and members of the community to dialogue and explore options for restitution and resolution. Adult offender cases are also eligible for the Restorative Justice Program. Workshops (including effective communication), presentations and trainings in basic mediation and peer mediation training for schools are available to the community.
